I am delighted to announce that, our organisation, JUSTICE CONGO GROUP is also registered as an NGOs under the UK law (Charity number 1218319) We welcome any organisation willing to support, or liaise with us for interest of the vulnerable Congolese in UK, DRC, and BURUNDI. See charity objectives. https://lnkd.in/eBHzQuTg Here is Our organisation History, and Change Justice Congo Group was purely a campaigning organisation seeking to highlight the harsh realities of life of the Congolese people in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), so closely affected by the current mineral mining boom linked to the Global North and East needing cassiterite, gold and the so-called 3T minerals (tin, tantalum ore, tungsten) and others. Now widely known as conflict minerals desired for electric batteries, laptops and mobile phones for digital innovation. We also seek to highlight the impunity with which perpetrators of murder and rape conduct themselves, environmental degradation, human rights abuses and how violence continue to cause immense suffering to the civilian population in DRC, and what we can collectively do about it. For years, Justice Congo Group has tirelessly engaged in advocacy amidst the relentless human rights abuses plaguing the Eastern regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Witnessing first hand the profound suffering endured by victims, the organization shifted its approach and recognized that raising awareness alone was insufficient. https://lnkd.in/ds9gvGuH Instead, the Justice Congo Group resolved to go beyond mere campaigning. To address the urgent needs on the ground, Justice Congo Group expanded its mission, evolving into a dynamic entity that embraces both advocacy and direct intervention. Today, it functions not only as a campaigning organization but also as NGO, collaborates closely with NGOs to devise tangible solutions aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by those affected. Across the vast, sparsely populated rural stretches of the Democratic Republic of Congo, a relentless wave of gleaming modern warehouses rises, erected by sprawling multinational corporations. Their purpose. To extract and capitalize on the country’s indispensable natural riches. Each day, trucks laden with precious minerals depart these compounds, crossing borders swiftly, bound for distant markets. Yet, this immense trade brings scant advantage to the DRC’s own vulnerable sons and daughters. Far removed from the bustling hubs of extraction, in isolated, forgotten villages, children sit hunched over tattered books, enduring unimaginable hardship as they strive to learn amidst dire conditions.
